Client: Heifer International

Through Volunteer.org, I discovered that Heifer International, an NGO I supported, was in need of an exhibit designer for the Los Angeles Book Fair and the OC Fair. After meeting with the event coordinator, I illustrated and designed several interactive and informative panels. The outcome was very welcoming and popular, especially for the younger audience.

Interactive panels for the young audience.

I also created different informational signage for different age groups.

Client: Ramona Library

In support of Michelle Obama's Health Education Plan for Children, the Ramona Public Library of San Diego County wanted an interactive display at the Children's Wing. The goal of the display is to help children learn and identify different fruits and vegetables.

Of my proposed ideas, the gigantic garden was picked to become the interactive structure.

I illustrated and designed all the graphics that would wrap around the structure.

I also picked out the material used for the floor and designed them to make the floor pattern more interesting.

Client: JFTB Los Alamitos Veterans Center

The JFTB Los Alamitos Veterans Center helps returning soldiers from the war. As families are encouraged to join, the Veterans Center wanted a display panel for the kids. The panel I designed and illustrated showcases how the military messages were carried back in the old days.

The original sketches I made of WWI soldiers caught the interest of the Art Director.

This is the final display panel I designed and illustrated.

The display is in the Los Alamitos Veterans Center.

Client: Siteline Productions, Inc.

In 2009, the production studio IMAGI was about to release one of my favorite anime as a kid: Astro Boy. Excited, I asked my employer if I could create a mock project for the job. I imagined that IMAGI had given us a budget to work on a movie tour, and that it would eventually have a booth advertising for the movie. Although the project did not become a reality, I have learned a lot of creating the mock project, from conceptualizing to ensuring everything fits within a schedule and budget.

Quick sketch of ideas I had in mind.

I wanted a grand sculpture at the opening, giving the audience a photo opportunity.

Displays I visualized for individual areas throughout the booth.

Client: Magic:The Gathering

For one of the Magic: The Gathering Worlds events held in the Louvre, Paris, I designed the entire events, including this special exhibit featuring the five Hall of Fame winners of the year. I drew each of them and designed their attires, all to make it more fun and interesting.

The event, Pro Tour Worlds, is held in the Louvre in Paris.

I drew each of the Hall of Fame winners as caricatures and designed all the t-shirts.

Client: Siteline Productions, Inc.

The in-house design team would like to design a booklet of what Siteline Productions does and how projects are streamlined. I both illustrated and designed the booklet, making sure all the information are included but maintaining the fun elements.
